In the Footsteps of Harry Potter!

Snow-covered Hogsmeade on a sweltering June day in Orlando Florida's Universal Studios was crazy. And I put my nerd on for this day.

We set straight out for Hogsmeade after the park opened. Everybody went straight there. By the time we arrived, we still waited 45 minutes to get into Hogwarts for that main ride, which was cool. Then don't even get me started on trying to get into Ollivander's wand shop, which took over an hour and a half in open sunlight. Crazy. FYI: The line is for a wand demonstration, you can get into the actual store section by going around where the Dragon Challenge Ride lets off. But the shop where the demonstration is made is pretty cool to see.

Hogsmeade

Was it worth it?

Heck yes it was!

Even when to me it almost mattered most...

...they came through. Not amazing for being restrooms in Harry Potter World, (and no moaning myrtle) but amazing compared to the lackluster aesthetics offered by other sections of the park... but I have to check myself. They're just restrooms.

GREAT RATING for this one, which kept you in the world at least. (By the way, it was very busy, so naturally I couldn't risk any shots into the interior of the restroom due to the fact that I probably would have gotten beat up by some wizard thinking I was a pervert.) So these are the best I could innocuously get. :) And as for the blurry guy in the picture, welcome to the potty blog! It's actually good that it was blurry, for your sake.

My one gripe, where are all the wizards and witches wandering around? The world was entirely enveloping except for that. All it would take are a few wizards and witches wandering around to make it complete, but there were none.

By the way, Butterbeer... totally worth it!

That froth is amazing.

On Bathroom Aesthetics and Impartiality

Since we tend to pay attention in general to our surroundings, in restrooms the details are all assimilated and translated into very generalized responses.

In other words, sometimes for as clean as a restroom may be, the aesthetics are just wrong and leave you feeling icky. I'll try to be as impartial as possible, but let's face it, a lot comes down to how I generally feel while there.

This will undoubtedly, inevitably show in my ratings.

Restroom Goals

Restrooms that I would like to rate, but will take some time to get there.

1. Angel's Landing - Scout Lookout (It is a strenuous, 2.5 mile hike to the top. Well worth it, probably nasty, but I'm not there yet in any case. :)

2. The Louvre - obviously great, it would have to be.
